Malaysian Pepper Board will provide a fair, efficient and reliable and always strive for the good of the whole pepper industry.

We will:

  • Provide the production of products as follows:
    • Issue a certificate Grade within two (2) working days after receiving the certificate of analysis from the laboratory in accordance with the objective of quality (ISO 9001: 2015 Grading);
    • Issue a certificate for physical and chemical analysis in accordance with Standard ISO 17025 within one (1) day and microbiological analysis within seven (7) working days;
    • The production of pepper products which comply with the guidelines for HACCP and Halal Certification;
  • Collect and disseminate local pepper prices on a daily basis at the latest at 11.00 am;
  • Respond to enquiries within three (3) working days;
  • Ensure that customer complaints are:
    • acknowledge within one (1) working day;
    • initial response within five (5) working days; and
    • complaints to be resolved within fifteen (15) working days
  • Pay completed bills within fourteen (14) working days;
  • Purchase pepper from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on every working days;
  • Provide courses to farmers within three (3) days;

The functions of the Malaysian Pepper Board shall be :

  • to implement policies and developmental programmes to ensure the growth and availability of the pepper industry of Malaysia;
  • to engage in the trading of pepper, pepper products and to expand to other spices;
  • to promote or conduct research and development relating to the pepper industry and to commercialize research findings for the benefit of the pepper industry;
  • to promote, control and monitor measures towards attaining high quality pepper, pepper products and other spices;
  • to provide technical, advisory, consultancy and related service including training to the pepper industry;
  • to gather, manage and disseminate information and maintain records of all relevant matters relating to the pepper industry;
  • to liaise and coordinate with the relevant State Governments and other bodies including being members of associations within and outside Malaysia in the interest of the pepper industry; and
  • to do such other things as it deems fit to enable it to perform its functions effectively or which are incidental to the performance of its functions.
